Indicazioni

IRBESARTAN diminuisce il livello della pressione arteriosa fino a raggiungere valori normali. Controlla la pressione arteriosa alta, ma non la cura. La pressione alta può causare danni ai reni e provocare attacchi di cuore e scompensi cardiaci. Irbesartan previene questi sintomi.

Speciali avvertenze e precauzioni per l’uso

Prima di iniziare la somministrazione del farmaco avvisare il medico curante se una delle seguenti condizioni è occorsa:

i seguenti sintomi sono occorsi prima dell' assunzione del farmaco: gonfiore della lingua, della faccia, delle labbra in concomitanza con difficoltà respiratorie, difficoltà di deglutizione, raucedine, nodo in gola
scompensi cardiaci
se si segue una dieta speciale, quali dieta iposodica (es. si stanno usando sostituti del sale)
malattie renali
malattie epatiche
squilibrio elettrolitico (es. ipokaliemia, iperkaliemia)
ipersensibilità o allergie all' irbesartan, altre medicine, cibo, coloranti o conservanti
gravidanza o intenzione di rimanere incinta
allattamento

Posologia e modo di somministrazione

Le compresse vanno prese per via orale con acqua. Assumere Irbesartan con o senza cibo. Assumere a intervalli regolari. Non superare le dosi consigliate. La somministrazione del farmaco ai bambini va preventivamente discussa con il pediatra. Sovradosaggio: In caso di sovradosaggio si consiglia di ricorrere ai normali presidi di pronto soccorso. NOTA BENE: il farmaco è prescritto per uso personale.

Assunzione irregolare

Se si dimentica di assumere la medicina all'ora solita, prenderla appena possibile. Non assumere la dose dimenticata se l'assunzione è ravvicinata alla dose successiva. Non assumere due o più dosi contemporaneamente.

Interazioni

antinfiammatori e antidolorifici, quali ibuprofene
farmaci per la pressione arteriosa
bosentan
delavirdina
imatinib
fluconazolo
biancospino
litio
inibitori delle monoaminossidasi
sali di potassio, supplementi a base di potassio
rifampin
voriconazolo
diuretici (soprattutto diuretici che mantengono inalterato il tasso di potassio, ad esempio, triamterene e amiloride)

La lista di cui sopra non è esaustiva delle interazioni medicamentose. Contattare il medico curante e indicare i farmaci e medicamenti che si stanno assumendo e se si fuma o si fa consumo di bevande alcoliche, di bevande contenenti caffeina e di droghe. Consultare il medico prima di iniziare con nuovi farmaci.

Speciali avvertenze e precauzioni per l’uso

Tenere sotto controllo la pressione arteriosa. Chiedere al medico quali sono i valori ottimali della propria pressione e i casi in cui si deve contattare il medico. Annotare i valori della pressione arteriosa che saranno poi mostrati al medico. In caso di assunzione prolungata, sottoporsi a controlli regolari. Il farmaco può causare vertigini. Si consiglia di non guidare, manovrare macchine o eseguire compiti che richiedono attenzione fino a quando non si conoscono gli effetti del farmaco. Non alzarsi o abbassarsi con movimenti bruschi per ridurre il rischio di vertigini. Evitare l' assunzione di sostituti salini. Le pazienti donne devono avvertire il medico in caso di gravidanza o se stanno pianificando una gravidanza. Ci possono essere effetti gravi sul feto soprattutto nel secondo e terzo trimestre. In caso di intervento chirurgico avvisare il medico che si sta assumendo il farmaco.

Effetti indesiderati

Consultare il medico curante il prima possibile se uno sei seguenti sintomi si dovesse manifestare:

rash cutanei, orticaria
difficoltà respiratorie, difficoltà di deglutizione, raucedine, nodo in gola
gonfiori della faccia, labbra, lingua, delle mani e dei piedi
confusione, vertigini, sensazione di avere la testa leggera, svenimenti
minzione rarefatta
aritmia, tachicardia, palpitazioni

Altri effetti indesiderati, che non richiedono l’immediata assistenza del medico, da riportare in caso di prolungato fastidio:

tosse
diarrea
affaticamento, stanchezza
congestione nasale
crampi, dolori muscolari
mal di stomaco

La lista di cui sopra non è esaustiva degli effetti indesiderati.

Speciali precauzioni per la conservazione

Tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini. Conservare a temperatura ambiente (15-30°C). Non esporre alla luce. Tenere la confezione chiusa. Eliminare i farmaci scaduti negli appositi contenitori.
